Ashtanga Yoga Montreal is made up of twenty one people who share the enthusiasm of yoga and how it just makes life better. We bring experience from various fields of knowledge – yoga, meditation, dance, massage therapy, osteopathy and other healing modalities. Three elements are central in all of us – awareness, relaxation and mindfulness. These are the key techniques of yoga. And we want you to become an expert of them too.
Our spacious and bright studios are located in the heart of Montreal and we offer daily yoga classes with an intelligent and compassion touch. Our schedule offers drop-in classes in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yoga for Beginners, morning practice sessions, workshops with local & international teachers and Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Teacher Training Programs.

What students have to say about us.
“Great studio. Beautiful space that breathes calmness, openness, simplicity, serenity. Teachers are highly qualified and they are greatly engaged in their own practice and in transmitting their knowledge to students. I’ve learned a lot there! I feel I can grow strong from the solid basics of Ashtanga I’ve learned with various teachers. It’s a great studio to deepen your practice or just to get familiar with a more rigorous approach of yoga. I recommend it to anyone.” ~ Sophie L.
” I took class here twice on a short weekend visit to Montreal. I like to try different yoga studios while traveling but sometimes it can be a little intimidating (clique-y, snobbish, no explanations given). Ashtanga Yoga Montreal is the opposite of all that. I was relieved the minute I walked in the door and was warmly greeted by the teacher, Allison, who I later found out is one of the studio directors. I took a multilevel class with Allison and a level 1-2 class with Tania. Both teachers I had were good. I appreciated that these classes were tied closely to the traditional ashtanga style (moving through postures from the primary series mostly). Allison was exceptional and really went above and beyond when it came to hands on adjustments and useful alignment tips. She also made a point to orient me at the beginning and ask me how the class felt afterwards. I have found a new Yoga home. ” ~ Denise S.
” I attended the 12:15 multi-level Ashtanga class with Jill today and absolutely loved it. I did my training at Downward Dog in Toronto but have been living abroad for 7 years now, only returning back to Canada recently. I lost my practice many years ago in favour of more Hatha/Vinyasa-style classes that much of yoga has evolved into today so it was nice to get back to the roots of my practice and I will ABSOLUTELY be coming back for more! Lovely ambience at the studio and Jill was an excellent and friendly instructor.” ~ Breatice L.
