Jeanne

Jeanne’s approach to teaching has always taken into consideration the individuals needs, recognizing the places in the body that need more support or need to let go. Her studies have included Restorative, Therapeutic and Thai Yoga Massage which has also helped to improve her  intuitive touch.

There is a belief that the body knows how to heal itself, over time we become more disconnected and lose our ability to understand what it is that we need to heal, if we can reintroduce ourselves to the body we can start to listen with more intention and begin to understand. Traditionally the practice was given to an individual much like a prescription, tailor made to create more balance, together we will create a unique experience to reconnect and start to heal.

Meditation with Pierre-Vincent

Thursdays from 7:30pm – 8:45pm

« Mindfulness is not a tool, it’s a path » – Thich Nhat Hanh

Every evening will be divided between talks about the teachings, and practice. We will discover some of the main teachings, like the 4 noble truths, the eightfold path and the brahma viharas. We will then get a sense of what they mean through our own experience, practicing in many different ways. Some home-exercises will also be suggested as a way to foster and bring continuity to the practice. Everyone is welcome to attend!

Cost: By donation

Eira

Private yoga sessions allow for a depth of instruction and the fostering of a strong clean practice not always possible in larger groups. I very much enjoy working at this personal level where my versatile approach can be targeted to meet the specific concerns and goals of one mind/body alone. Having been a professional dancer with Cirque du Soleil for over 15yrs, a healthy relationship with my mind/body has always been a priority. Alongside my dance career yoga has provided new avenues through which I continue to discover training, strengthening, grounding, and healing. I’ve had a range of experiences teaching private yoga: from working with beginners  – eager to try something new – to professional dancers and athletes, to celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis, a lifelong practitioner. Whether you are interested in discovering a practice for the first time or deepening the one you have, I’d be honored to join you along your yoga journey.

Pierre-Vincent

Pierre-Vincent has been practicing and studying yoga (ashtanga and restorative/therapeutic) and meditation for about 10 years. His approach is psycho-corporal and, thus, he works on the physical, mental and emotional bodies. Pierre-Vincent is also a certified shiatsu massage therapist and is now completing a master’s degree in social work. In his teachings, he combines his knowledge of yoga, mindfulness meditation, traditional Chinese medicine and counselling.

The way Pierre-Vincent works is as followed: the first private session is usually used to meet, assess one’s needs and work through shiatsu massage. Then, a program which  meets your discussed personal needs is created and presented at the next session. Periodic follow-ups are subsequently possible according to the agreement or needs. The general idea is to support empowerment and the integration of the practice and its benefits beyond the mat.
