Saturday January 27th from 2:30 PM – 3:45 PM with James Viveiros

Cost: $16 plus taxes

Gaga is a movement language which Ohad Naharin developed over the course of many years and which is applied in daily practice and exercises by the Batsheva Dance Company members.  The language of Gaga originated from the belief in the healing, dynamic, ever-changing power of movement, and it continues to evolve today.

Gaga is a new way of gaining knowledge and self-awareness through your body. Gaga provides a framework for discovering and strengthening your body and adding flexibility, stamina, and agility while lightening the senses and imagination. Gaga raises awareness of physical weaknesses, awakens numb areas, exposes physical fixations, and offers ways for their elimination. The work improves instinctive movement and connects conscious and unconscious movement, and it allows for an experience of freedom and pleasure in a simple way, in a pleasant space, in comfortable clothes, accompanied by music, each person with themselves and others.

Gaga has two tracks: Gaga/people and Gaga/dancers.

Cranio Sacral and Restorative Yoga with Tony Eng

Saturday January 20th 2018 from 2:30 to 5:30PM

This workshop will take you through a journey of the nervous system. We will blend the two worlds of total relaxation bliss. We will explore deeper understandings of the central nervous system and how we can reduce stress, anxiety and many other aliments that create imbalances in the body that may be triggered by past traumas.

Cranio Sacral Therapy is an osteopathic technique that focuses on harmonizing the central nervous system using subtle therapeutic touch.  Along with restorative yoga postures, which also promote the body’s rest and restore state, this will increase the body’s innate ability to stimulate its self-healing powers.

Cost: $40 +tx in advance, $50 +tx day-of (pay using Paypal button below or by calling the studio at (514) 875-9642)

Nicaragua Retreat with Jeanne Mudie

Nicaragua : March 12th to March 18th with Jeanne Mudie

I took a group to this resort a few years ago and had such a great experience. The staff was more like family, making our stay even more special. The food was delicious! For our outings we went zip lining, surfing, we hung out on the beaches and visited the town of San Juan Del Sur. We ended up taking two boat tours, we celebrated the last evening with a sunset sailboat cruise where the cabin crew took special care to keep us fed and our drinks full.

I would love to share this amazing experience again!!!

Marielle Bertin

Weekly Class : Tuesday (level 1) 5:30PM

Marielle is a certified Hatha yoga teacher, a dynamique approach focussed on the balance between effort of movement and personal potential. Inspired by AYM’s Ashtanga style, she undertook a daily practice which was the start of a 15-year relationship with yoga.

For her, yoga is the optimal challenge of everyday living – exploring the tensions between effort and ease, comfort and discomfort and the sense of self within turbulance. Simplicity and movement.

With a background in Massage Therapy, Horticulture and Garden Design she is currently completing the Professional Yoga Therapist Program at Naadayoga.
