With a rich history in classical ballet and acrobatics, Elyse’s live revolved around dance for many years. After moving to Montreal in 2007, Elyse started her career teaching Latin & Ballroom dancing privates for adults and ballet classes for children. It was during this period that she started to grow fond of yoga and her personal practice deepened. After the unfortunate occurrence of a serious back injury in 2011, Elyse’s life changed drastically. She found refuge in her yoga practice, as it seemed to be the only thing that was truly helping her injury to heal. Her back is now almost completely rehabilitated, and she is grateful for the chance to explore and profit from this healing art.
Elyse found AYM in 2014 and was instantly hooked to the Ashtanga/Iyengar style. She completed her first teacher training with them in 2016 and is looking forward to taking a variety of teacher trainings in the coming years. Elyse has a passion for working with bodies and is a thorough believer in holistic health. She is currently studying naturopathy, herbology and Chinese medicine.
